Lightweight Concrete

Structural lightweight concrete is as strong as normal-weight concrete, but weighs up to 25% less than normal-weight concrete. Typical applications include slab on metal deck, wood-framed construction, and bridge decks. It helps you achieve a safer fire rating and higher R-values for improved insulation compared to normal-weight concrete. Since lightweight concrete is manufactured using lightweight aggregates that require soaking prior to use, Silvi facilities have year-round temperature-controlled wetting areas to ensure a consistent product.
