Last week the prosecutor in Trenton Municipal Court dismissed an “Unsafe Driving” citation against one of our Ready-Mix Drivers based on the presentation of SmartDrive video. The driver received the citation after being determined “at fault” in a minor two vehicle accident on Route 1. Fortunately, SmartDrive video clearly showed that a third unidentified vehicle unexpectedly swerved into our driver’s lane, forcing him to take evasive action to avoid a catastrophic and likely fatal collision. Upon reviewing the video, the prosecutor asked the Judge to dismiss the citation and commended our Driver’s actions on the record. Without SmartDrive, the driver would have received a $400 fine and likely been the subject of civil litigation.
